Conscious Collection: Transforming waste into premium products
At Vogue, we are 100 % committed to creating a more sustainable hosiery industry. As sustainability has been one of our core values since Vogue was established, we are constantly looking for new, innovative material solutions that have less impact on the environment. For this reason, we have launched Vogue Conscious Collection– a collection that introduces high-quality hosiery made from regenerated nylon waste and other more sustainable materials.
Conscious Collection materials
Some of the main sustainability challenges in the hosiery industry include the vast use of oil-based polyamide and the restricted possibility to recycle and reuse hosiery products. To address these challenges, Vogue Conscious Line products are made from materials such as recycled nylon, organic cotton, and lyocell. Get to know our materials and why they are a better choice.
ECONYL® regenerated nylon
The Conscious Collection consists of continuous products which are independent of trends or seasons, as well as a smaller selection that changes from season to season. Most of the continuous products are made of ECONYL® yarn, which is a 100 % regenerated nylon fiber. The nylon fiber is made from pre-and post-consumer waste such as fishing nets, fabric scraps, and industrial plastic. With ECONYL® it is possible to create new hosiery without resorting to virginal resources, as the material transforms waste into new products.
As well as being a solution to discarded waste, using ECONYL® helps to cut back resources and reduce CO2 emissions - yet the material possesses all the same great qualities as fossil-based nylon. Additionally, the ECONYL® nylon can be recycled and remolded infinitely, without losing its quality.
Organic Cotton
The second most used material of the Conscious Collection is organic cotton. Compared to conventional cotton, organic cotton is grown without synthetic chemicals or pesticides. Therefore, it is less harmful to the environment as it does not threaten the soil, water, workers, and biodiversity.
Lyocell
The collection also introduces socks made of lyocell. The cellulose-based lyocell is widely regarded as a more sustainable fiber as it is sourced from renewable sources and processed in a closed-loop system using less energy and water. The tree-growing process does not require any fertilizers, pesticides, or irrigation. As well as being a better choice for the environment, lyocell is highly durable and 100 % biodegradable. The material feels silky soft and comfortable against the skin.
Q-NOVA® Recycled Nylon
All the seasonal products of the collection are made from Q-NOVA® recycled nylon. Q-NOVA® is a recycled nylon fiber that is made from production waste under present-day traceability criteria and requirements. Therefore, the use of Q-NOVA® results in lower emissions and reduced water consumption compared to fossil-based nylon.

More sustainable packaging
All Conscious Collection packaging is made of FSC-certified cardboard. FSC is regarded as the most respected and widespread forest certification system. The certification ensures that the packaging material comes from forests that are managed according to strict environmental, social, and economic standards. You can spot the Conscious Line products easily from the eco-label and soft green color of the packaging.
